Design & Construction. These industries go hand-in-hand, but it didn’t exactly start that way for us. We founded our company in 2020 with a goal of delivering spaces that makes sense for each client while giving the most value for our work.

Reconcile Construction Inc., founded by Shane and Kailee in 2020, is a family-run design and construction company dedicated to creating spaces that make sense for each client while delivering exceptional value. Specializing in custom home building, ADUs, and major renovations/additions, they combine Shane’s expertise as a licensed general contractor with Kailee’s background in design, marketing, and project coordination. Their mission is to restore the character and craftsmanship once common in the Central Valley through thoughtful, quality-driven projects. Guided by strong communication, attention to detail, and a passion for the trades, they aim to help families realize their home’s full potential while building lasting legacies.

We each had our own journey of launching this company, so let’s give you the details.

Shane: Licensed General Contractor + Owner + Communicator

Shane spent many years as a water polo coach while tackling home projects on the side. He left his coaching job and took on Real Estate but quickly realized that so many clients were in need of projects to either get their home sold or updating a home after purchasing. He saw a gap and knew that his passion for learning new skills and constantly improving was needed in the residential construction world. In September of 2020, Shane & Kailee started Reconcile Construction Inc with the goal of helping families realize their homes’ potential. Shane then obtained his Contractor’s license shortly after. In the last 4 years of the business, our team has completed many interior and exterior renovations, additions and a few ground-up custom homes. The goal for our company is to continue to design and build custom homes that bring back the character once found in the Central Valley area.

Shane takes his background in coaching to another level with construction as all projects require a game plan, the right team and achieving a concrete goal. He prides himself in communication with our clients, completing projects with attention to detail and ensuring the client is getting the best quality.

Shane loves his role as a father and hopes to instill hard work and creativity in his kids. His goal is to inspire young men to value the trades as they once were through mentorship and hands-on learning.

Kailee: Designer, Accounting, Scheduler and Marketer

After 10 years in the commercial design and marketing world of the health & fitness industry, Kailee picked up many skills while assisting the construction, fit-out and marketing components of 30+ health clubs across California. She worked with contractors, architects, vendors and plenty of staff in her job capacity. While the role was highly demanding and constantly changing, she always felt the pull toward residential design and helped friends with their homes in her spare time. She casually blogged and documented on Instagram about it on nights and weekends but really felt that she needed to do this full-time.

Raising a family together also signified a need for job flexibility and stepping away from the corporate world was something that she had been planning for 2 years. With the COVID shut-downs and the huge impact on the fitness industry, Kailee was laid off and it was the push she needed to finally delve into what God had put on her heart many years prior. Together, Shane and Kailee started Reconcile Construction Inc.

With four kids in tow, Kailee thrives in designing other people’s homes via e-design, scheming for the next custom build site and assisting with the administrative aspects in running the company.
